Mercedes-Benz ML W164 / GL X164 Android Car Stereo – Which Unit Fits?

The Mercedes-Benz ML-Class W164 was built from 2005 to 2011 and the GL-Class X164 from 2006 to 2012. They share the same dashboard, so the same Erisin units fit both.

These cars use a radio-replacement unit: it replaces the original Mercedes radio (Audio 10, Audio 20, Audio 30 APS or COMAND) and comes with a dashboard frame and plugs made for the car. Many units fit several related models – the product page lists every model and year it fits.

Note: the letter L at the end of these model codes (for example ES6583L) stands for the ML / GL range – it does not mean left-hand drive.

What you get

An Android 16 car stereo with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, navigation and (depending on the model) DAB+, 4G and DSP sound. Steering-wheel buttons work through the supplied CAN-bus box in most cars. If your car has a factory Harman Kardon or Bose amplifier, or an optical (fibre) audio system, tell us before ordering – some cars need an extra adapter.
