BMW 5 Series F10 / F11 Android Radio – Which Unit Fits?
The BMW 5 Series F10 (saloon) and F11 (Touring) were built from 2010 to 2017, including the M5. Erisin offers screen upgrades in 10.25″ and 12.3″ sizes that replace the factory screen and keep the original iDrive system.
CIC or NBT?
- CIC – cars built from 2010 to about mid-2013. The iDrive controller has no touch pad. Choose units ending in I (for example ES3910I, ES4710I).
- NBT – cars built from about mid-2013 (facelift) onwards. The controller has a touch pad. Choose units ending in N (for example ES3910N, ES4710N).
- Some late 2016–2017 cars have NBT EVO (tile-style main menu) – send us a photo before ordering.

What you keep after the upgrade
The screen-upgrade units connect to the original BMW plugs (plug and play, no cutting). In most cars you keep the original iDrive controller (it also controls Android), the steering-wheel buttons, the original BMW radio and speakers including Harman Kardon / Logic 7 sound, the factory reversing camera and the parking-sensor display. You can switch back to the original BMW screen at any time. The exact list for each unit is on its product page.
Left-hand or right-hand drive?
Some units are made in two versions because the dashboard shape differs. Cars from the UK, Ireland, Australia, Japan, South Africa and Hong Kong are right-hand drive; most of Europe, the Middle East and the US are left-hand drive. The “Driving side” column in the table shows which version each unit is, or whether you choose it on the product page.
Questions about the F10 / F11
Does it fit the F07 5 GT or the 6 Series F06/F12/F13? Several units fit these too – the product page lists all supported models. Send us a photo if your car is not listed.
10.25″ or 12.3″? Both fit the dashboard; the 12.3″ screen is wider. The photos on each product page show how it looks in the car.
