BMW X3 F25 / X4 F26 Android Radio – Which Unit Fits?
The BMW X3 F25 was built from 2010 to 2017 and the X4 F26 from 2014 to 2018. Erisin screen upgrades replace the factory screen with a 12.3″ Android 16 display and keep the original iDrive system.
CIC or NBT?
- CIC – X3 built from 2010 to about 2013. Controller without touch pad. Choose units ending in I (for example ES4725I).
- NBT – X3 from about 2013–2014 (facelift) and almost all X4. Controller with a touch pad. Choose units ending in N (for example ES4725N).

What you keep after the upgrade
The screen-upgrade units connect to the original BMW plugs (plug and play, no cutting). In most cars you keep the original iDrive controller (it also controls Android), the steering-wheel buttons, the original BMW radio and speakers including Harman Kardon / Logic 7 sound, the factory reversing camera and the parking-sensor display. You can switch back to the original BMW screen at any time. The exact list for each unit is on its product page.
Left-hand or right-hand drive?
Some units are made in two versions because the dashboard shape differs. Cars from the UK, Ireland, Australia, Japan, South Africa and Hong Kong are right-hand drive; most of Europe, the Middle East and the US are left-hand drive. The “Driving side” column in the table shows which version each unit is, or whether you choose it on the product page.
